Privacy Policy

Blueforce provides integrated security, safety, access control, and surveillance solutions to residential, commercial, industrial, healthcare, and aged care clients. In delivering our services, we collect, use, and manage personal and sensitive information in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs). This policy outlines how Blueforce protects your privacy and manages personal information.

 

“Blueforce”, “we”, “us” or “our” refers to Blue Force Pty Ltd (ACN 101 791 897) and its related bodies corporate under the Corporations Act 2001 (Cth), including Bluesecurity, Blueassist, and Bluecom.

  • Emergency Contacts: Name and contact details of next of kin or authorised representatives.

 

This may include sensitive and health information as defined by the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).

3. How We Collect and Store Information

We collect information directly from you via in-person meetings, telephone, email, forms, or through our website. In some cases, we may collect information from your authorised representative, legal guardian, or other parties acting on your behalf.

 

Health information will only be collected with your consent unless it is unreasonable or impractical to obtain it and permitted under the Act.

 

Overseas Storage and Remote Access

 

Some personal information may be accessed, processed, or stored by third-party providers outside Australia, including a trusted maintenance partner based in New Zealand, who provides remote technical support and systems maintenance.

 

In accordance with APP 8, Blueforce takes reasonable steps to ensure overseas recipients handle your personal information in a manner consistent with Australian privacy law. This includes:

  • Contractual obligations;

  • Secure remote access protocols;

  • Role-based access controls and monitoring;

  • Confidentiality agreements.

4. Use of Cookies and Web Analytics

Our website uses cookies to enhance functionality and user experience. Cookies do not store personal information or track your internet usage outside our site.

 

We also use Google Analytics, which may transfer anonymised usage data to servers in the United States. This data helps us improve site performance. You may refuse cookies via browser settings, though this may affect functionality.

 

By using our website, you consent to the processing of data as outlined above.

5. How We Use Your Information

We use your personal information to:

  • Deliver our security and emergency response services;

In the event of a data breach likely to result in serious harm, Blueforce will:

  • Promptly investigate the breach;

  • Notify affected individuals and the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) where required;

  • Provide recommendations on how to protect yourself;

  • Keep you informed throughout the resolution process.

8. Access and Correction

You may request access to, or correction of, your personal information at any time. We will respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we refuse access, we will provide written reasons.

 

You may be charged a reasonable fee to cover administrative costs, such as photocopying or retrieving information stored offsite.

9. Retention and Disposal

Blueforce retains personal information for as long as required to fulfil the purpose for which it was collected or as required by law. When no longer needed, it is securely deleted, de-identified, or destroyed.

10. Complaints

If you believe your privacy has been breached, please contact our Communications Officer in writing. We will:

  • Acknowledge your complaint within 7 days;

  • Investigate and respond within 30 days (subject to complexity);

  • Maintain records of all complaints and resolutions.
